NAME is a reading circle that meets monthly in Nashville TN.  All reading is performed at the meeting, and is completely free.    

Our readings and discussions focus on Nordic mythology, animism, spirituality, and philosophy.  Anyone interested in these subjects is welcome to attend!  Meetings are informal, and we expect sessions to last roughly an hour, followed by optional socializing and conversation. 

Our first meeting will be at PLACE on DATE & TIME 

We will be reading Völuspá ('Prophecy of the völva, a seeress'), one of the best known poems of the Poetic Edda dating back to the tenth century with much earlier roots in oral culture.  It tells the story from Nordic Mythology of the creation of the world, its coming end, and its subsequent rebirth.   

We will be using the edition published by Hyldyr, but any edition is welcome.  The text is also available free online. 

About us: 

NAME is facilitated by an informal gathering of animist oriented Heathens/ Nordic pagans in the middle Tennessee/Nashville area.  We welcome all who are nature-centered, respectful, and non-racist/ non-folkish. 

Our reading circle is inspired by the Ár Var Alda reading circle run by the goods people at hyldyr, and the animist-heathenry of Nordic Animism, the Sacred Flame podcast, and others.
